Silver Snoopy!!
On July 23, 2009 I was presented with one of the most coveted awards given to employees of the Space Shuttle Program...The Silver Snoopy Award!! The Silver Snoopy is the astronauts' personal achievement award and is presented to individuals within the NASA, industry and international partner space flight team for outstanding contributions to mission safety and success. Less than one percent of the total NASA/contractor workforce receives the Silver Snoopy award annually. Needless to say I was thrilled to have received one and even more thrilled to have my family with me when I got it!! Here is a picture of the awards ceremony! The astronauts in the picture are (from L to R): Dominic "Dom" Gorie, George Zamka, Lee Morin and Ellen Ochoa.

Sooo, these are the infamous awards that you had to wear those horrid coke bottle glasses to? Damn that pink eye! Lol... they do not look bad!! They are actually kinda cute. =)
